Hi, my name is Les, born in 1961 in New Zealand and this is a brief summary of my work history.

 

After leaving school I worked on a dairy farm and in 1982 started my climb up the dairy farm ownership ladder by taking on a contract milking position in Taranaki. This led next year to a larger contract milking position and then subsequently through lower order sharemilking to arrive in 1992 being in a 50/50 sharemilking agreement milking 280 cows in partnership with my wife.

 

After an injury in 1997 that limited my full time ability to milk, I embarked on more of a management role to grow the farm business, at the same time studying for my real estate salesperson certificate. 

 

Over the next eight years I grew our dairy farm business to a point where we were running 11 properties on both sides of the Tasman and at the same time heading up a rural sales team selling dairy farms in the lower north island of New Zealand.  

 

In 2007 we relocated our family to Northern Victoria and carried on our farming business.

In this role I was the managing director of the dairy farm business whilst working as a salesperson for a Northern Victorian rural real estate business.

 

In 2011 I decided it was time to build my own real estate company and therefore I finished my real estate licence and established Sallan Realty, a specialist farm sales business.

 

Since opening our office in Palmerston North New Zealand in 2016, I have focused my time on selling farms and lifestyle properties in New Zealand, whilst working with conjunctional partners for our Australian sales.

 

We have been able to facilitate and help many Australian based Kiwis in the seamless realisation of their assets in either country.
